So come on then – who’s got one? Lets take a look at the iPad 2 and it’s impact on the technology industry.

I’ve got an iPad (first gen) and have found it very useful. It hasn’t changed my life, but has made “every day browsing” a joy. It eliminates waiting for a laptop to boot up, or walking all the way to my desktop if I’ve just seen a cool promotion on TV that I want to follow up.

Design

The iPad 2 is aesthetically pleasing – something we’ve come to expect from Apple’s product design genius’. It’s 33% thinner than the first iPad and fits perfectly in your hands.

New features

Some of the new features in the iPad 2 include:

  • Dual core A5 chip
  • Facetime
  • Camera (front and back facing)
  • Smart cover

The iPad 2 is not a game changer. Thats a fact. But Apple are progressively making the tablet market a tough place for everyone else. iPad 3 you feel would just have to offer something amazing if it is ever going to “change the game” again.

Summary

It’s definitely a product Apple can be proud of. However, this is only an appetizer for the main course for 2011 (iPhone 5).
